Spring is slowly but surely coming to the Thunder Bay Area!!! The land roller will be available to the Thunder Bay Soil and Crop Improvement Association members again for 2014. The rate will be $200 per day. If you would like to use the land roller, please contact us through the form on this site. We will be in contact within 24 hours to make sure that we can do as many acres as required in our region. If you are not a current member, 2014 membership will be added to your bill. Happy Growing!
2014 Thunder Bay Spring Farm Conference
While the first official day of spring for 2014 has come and gone with much snow still on the ground, the Thunder Bay Soil and Crop Improvement Association has been busy planning the Spring Farm Conference set to happen April 2 and 3 at the Kakabeka Legion.

Non-Member Admission $15 per day

Spring Farm Conference – April 1-3, 2014

Collaborators wanted to Samco Corn Planter Project
Farmers in the Thunder Bay region who are interested in purchasing a Samco Corn Planter (http://www.samco.ie/machine-sales/machine-spec/) need to contact Christina by Deccember 2, 2014. Growers would need to be financially commited as well as a participant in a field trial. Interested participants would need to be signed up on Growing Forward 2 portal and sign on a collaborator on the attached application below the contact form.
Thunder Bay has a satellite location of the Southwest Ag Conference
We will be hosting a webcast location of this wonderful conference on Wednesday January 8, 2014 from 9AM to 5PM. Please sign up by December 13, 2013 so that we can order books and lunch.
